“It’s humbug still. This facebook and other social sites were made for people to kill their golden time. But the time is a money, and don’t want to waste my money on this humbug” though Ebenezer Scrooge looking at his empty facebook timeline.
Suddenly he noticed that he had two unread messages and notifications.
“ Merry Christmas , sir. Will you join to our group “Raise money for orphan” ? We are just collecting money to buy presents for those poor children. And I see, that it won’t be difficult for you send some money to our bank account” a stranger wrote in his message.
“Bah, humbug! I don’t have money for virtual cheats and silly children”
The other message was invitation to have Christmas Dinner with Scrooge’s nephew and his family. Of course, Scrooge just answered “ Bah ,humbug” .
“Bah humbug” was the only comment that Scrooge made on Christmas videos, that happy little kids have posted on Scrooge’s wall, wishing happy New Year even to strangers. But nothing , expect money could make Scrooge feel happy in both real and virtual lives. So , he logged out from his page and continued working .
“ Mister Scrooge, it is very cold here. And I have finished my work. Also it is Christmas Eve today. May I go home?” was heard Scrooge’s clerk’s voice.
“Bah, humbug! It’s just a working day now and you must work. And I have no money for heating my office” murmured Scrooge.
So, despite it was Christmas Eve, Scrooge and Bob Cratchit went from counting house at the end of working day. Cratchit went to his family with big heart and empty pockets, and Scrooge went without feelings in his heart and a lot of money in his purse.
After Jacob Marley’s death, Scrooge was the only lodger of that big , old and lonely house. There weren’t no Christmas tree there , no happiness and joy, nothing that would remind about the happiest holiday.
It was freezing cold outdoors, it was cold at the house, but Scrooge’s heart was colder than anything. The lonely figure was sitting on the armchair, near window, laughing at people, who were singing Christmas carols and were feeling the magic of Christmas.
Suddenly the room filled with the strange noise like tinkling of the chains and the desktop of the turned-off computer lightened with the bright light. And the man appeared on the desktop, with long chain made of cash-boxes, keys, padlocks and ledgers , and Scrooge heard the familiar voice.
- Scrooge, I am here tonight to warn you that you have chance to set you free from your chain and become a good person. A person that both me and you haven’t been in our earth life. But you can change you, and you can change the future of lot of people.
Scrooge have become dumb when he saw Jacob Marley in his computer desktop . He was not believing to his ears that were hearing clearly Marley’s voice, to his eyes, that were seeing clearly Marley’s face and his senses, that were feeling, that something strange is going to happen.

- Yes, Scrooge… This book had helped another Scrooge and a lot of people in all around world. It is still actual , because the time is going away, but human foolishness is lasting. But remember, the kindness and good works are immortal.
Frightened Scrooge started to read the book. While he was reading the first part of book, the sweat was running from his forehead. When Dickens’ hero had met The Spirit of the Past, he started to cry remembering his own childhood . The Spirit of the Present has shown him the meaning of human’s live , the feelings that the money had stolen from him. And finally, The Spirit of The Future made him clear, that his life was whole emptiness.
- Marley, what I’ ve done, what I’ m doing now? Business? The mankind is my business,- cried Scrooge and run out to do charity with all of his money.
But , the most important, expect money he gave his heart to mankind.
