What would Dickens write nowadays?

Our world has always been rich of famous people, thanks to whom now we have the opportunity to fully develop and to reach such heights to be eligible to be compared with them. Charles Dickens was one of these famous people. However, his name is not known to all, as well as in our time such valuables are simply forgotten on this planet, and our world is on the brink of downfall. Dickens very well applied to the problems of the world and wrote in very realistic way. I'd like to see Dickens nowadays and read his new works, but I don’t have such opportunity. Today Dickens would turn to the dozens of world problems that are non solvable for the people; I mean the problems that are created by the people themselves. And he would suggest in his works the solutions of this situation, would induce the people to shift to the right way. The hero of Dickens would be the human himself, and the only human would be able to solve the problems created by himself. In my opinion, Dickens would turn to the development of electronic technology, which is very dangerous for the whole humanity.
Unfortunately we do not realize that we are becoming fatuous and stupid day after day and hour by hour; we do not evolve, we do not use our opportunities to develop.
The hero of the story would be the man who was so interested in electrical engineering, that he gradually grew stupid. All the people followed his example and every day lost an opportunity to develop. If "fever of gold" had been prevailing and widely-spread in the recent past, in our times humanity is interested in much more dangerous "fever of lagging." In my point of view, the story might have two finals. According to the first option, people developing so wrongly would lead themselves to complete destruction of the human race. The world would also be completely destroyed only because of wrong thinking and a sharp regress in the level of development of humanity. According to the second option, at the end of the story we would see one person who could save the world. His interesting ideas could prevent the destruction of the human race. But in my opinion the second option is hardly realizable. And we do not feel, but this story would relate to us, because we are suffering from this fever too. Mentality of the people in the 21-st century is not understandable. "People, really you do not understand that you are on the verge of destruction." And I do ask everybody who read this composition- stop for a moment and think seriously about where you want to go - to the terracide or the prosperity!!!
